Why Bone Health Matters to Me (Right Now)
You know what's trending right now?
Bone health. Menopause. Women's health.
And honestly? It's about time.
We still have a long way to go… but we are marching forward. And this month — Women's History Month — let's just take a minute to breathe that in. To smile at it.
Because women's health is finally having a moment.
I had no idea about women's health when I was younger. It wasn't a conversation. It wasn't a focus. It wasn't something we were taught to understand or advocate for.
It was simple, almost dismissive: Have babies. Track your cycle… maybe. And move on.
And now? We are in a completely different season.
Information Overload
Lift heavy. Walk more. Wear a weighted vest. Eat more protein. Eat less. Track macros. Don't track macros. Take supplements. Sleep more. Cold plunge. See a specialist.
UGHHHH.
It’s.Just.Too.Much.
And what I see every single day are women standing in the middle of all of this thinking: What actually matters? Where do I even start?
Here's what I know, as a coach and as a woman who has lived with bone challenges my entire life — this is personal for me. Bone health isn't a trend I stumbled onto. It's something I've had to think about, work around, and build strength through for years.
And what the research keeps confirming is this: bone density starts declining in your 30s. It accelerates through menopause. And the single most effective thing you can do about it, more than any supplement or trend or hack, is lift.
That's not my opinion. That's the research. And it's what I've built my classes around.
So you start with lifting.
It's the easiest thing to be cruise directed on right now. You don't have to think. You just have to show up and move with me. This spring I have a warm, welcoming class schedule starting April 13th to get you feeling STRONG. Strong-boned. Strong-minded. Strong and ready for whatever summer brings.
Live classes from your home at 6am, 7:30, or 8:30am — coffee in hand, no judgment. We all show up a little messy. Modifications always. And with my osteoarthritic hips, I coach for real bodies on real days.
A little smiley sweat. Come join us. Registration is now open for my spring classes.
