BOOST YOUR BONES: Why This Challenge Matters to Me—and to You
Ten years ago, I took what I thought was an ordinary walk in the woods. A sudden fall changed everything—it led to a hip replacement that I never expected at that point in my life.
I was lucky. I was still young enough to rebuild the strength around my hip and protect my bones for the future. But that wake-up call forced me to understand something important: muscle doesn’t just happen. It takes intention. It’s not only about moving, but how you move, how you fuel your body, and how you recover.
That moment became a turning point—it reshaped my life’s direction. I became passionate about helping others stay strong, mobile, and confident. Through resistance training, mobility work, and nourishing meals, I discovered that bone health isn’t just a wellness trend—it’s the foundation for an active, independent life.
Now I’m inviting you to take action with me. This October, join my 1 Minute Move a Day—31 Day Boost Your Bones Challenge. One minute might sound small, but it’s amazing what consistent, intentional movement can do. Just a minute a day can leave you feeling stronger, more confident, and give your bones the boost they need for years to come.
I’m asking for a minimum $9 donation to the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation (BHOF) to join the challenge (and of course, you’re welcome to give more). Every dollar goes directly to BHOF’s critical mission—providing education, research, and support so fewer people face the pain and loss of mobility that osteoporosis can bring.
Strong bones mean freedom—the freedom to hike with friends, pick up grandkids, and live without fear of a fall. Together, we can raise awareness, inspire action, and help others protect their bones—and their future.
Let’s make every minute count—for your bones, and for the millions who depend on the life-changing work of BHOF.
