Summer Pause & Simple Treasures

Summer is slipping by quickly.

“Was it not just July 4th?”

And now you're chasing sunsets and wondering where July went. The days are long, yet somehow they slip by in a blop of travel plans, guests, lake paddles, and sunset walks. We move from one thing to the next—big kids’ schedules, outdoor events, quick dinners, concerts, last minute road trips, weekend hikes. It’s a different kind of busy. A lighter one, perhaps. But busy nonetheless.

And in the swirl of it all, it’s easy to miss the real treasure of the season.

The quiet morning paddle, just as the sun rises.
The burst of a juicy donut peach or a sun-warmed tomato.
Cousins leaping off the dock into golden-hour water.
A breeze that lands just right while you sit outside with someone you love.
Bare feet in the grass. A shared laugh on the porch.
The way the evening light gently draws the day to a close.

This is wellness.
This is health.

The ability to pause—just long enough—to notice. To breathe. To be with your people. To soak up the sunshine and let your nervous system recalibrate. To remember that health isn't just your workout routine or what’s on your plate (though those matter too), but also how present you are for the goodness that snuck into your day today.

So this summer, between all the things, make space for stillness.
Let the warmth soften your edges.
Let the breeze carry your stress.
Let your people remind you why you do it all.

Because in these small, beautiful moments, you’ll find your balance again.
You’ll remember who you are.

And that, truly, is what health looks like.

Yours In Health,

Jenny
