Control the Pattern, Unlock the Strength

Thirty years ago, I was a history major in college with no idea I’d one day be a coach, trainer, and health advocate.

Twenty-five years ago, I was newly married and a new mom, constantly redefining who I thought I would become.

Twenty years ago, I was a mother of three kids under five. My “job” was full-time motherhood, and my personal dreams shifted as I poured my energy into helping my little people build their own.

Fifteen years ago, I ran my first mile—pain free. After hip replacements (thank you, modern medicine and titanium!), I felt alive again. That run sparked curiosity: How could I keep doing this? I went back to school, dove into science classes, personal training, and certifications. I started teaching group classes and bootcamps, all while never missing a single bedtime story, school performance, or homework help.

Ten years ago, I began working outside the home at a women’s fitness gym. Part time turned into full time, and soon I was coaching and motivating over 300 women. It was inspiring—and humbling. I learned quickly that leadership means being willing to grow and improve every single day.

Five years ago, the world shifted with Covid. I shifted too—immersing myself in nutrition certifications. Because fitness and nutrition go hand in hand, I launched my business, JRAPPFIT Health & Wellness. What started with two clients has grown into hundreds, and I’ve discovered the kind of coach I want to be: approachable, compassionate, client-centered, and deeply committed to long-term success.

One year ago, I expanded again, becoming a Functional Range Conditioning Specialist. With many clients struggling with joint issues and menopause-related challenges, I knew this was the right path for building lasting resilience.

Six months ago, I was honored to be elected as a Trustee of the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation. For the first time, my passion for functional strength connected with advocacy at a national level. Prevention of osteoporosis through strength and movement became not just my career—but my mission.

That same season, I launched KINSTRENGTH—a class I designed and trademarked.

What is KINSTRENGTH?

KINSTRENGTH is a functional strength class that trains your body through intentional movement patterns. The better you control your movement, the better your joints function—period. This class strengthens the adaptive tissues around your joints, uses structured tempo and patterns to build awareness, and gradually expands your range of motion.

It’s designed for all humans, at all levels. Whether you’re recovering from injury, protecting your bones, or simply wanting to move better, KINSTRENGTH will help you feel stronger, more mobile, and more connected to how your body moves.

This Fall with JRAPPFIT

This fall, there are classes for all levels and abilities.

Starting September 8th, I’ll be offering 10 weeks of KINSTRENGTH classes:

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:00–8:30am

  • Saturdays, 8:00–8:50am

Starting October 1st, I’ll also launch the 30-Day “BOOst Your Bones” Challenge—a daily 1-minute resistance-based move to strengthen your bones.

Alongside these, I’ll continue offering my core strength classes:

  • Beginner Strength – For anyone new to lifting, muscle-deficient, or unsure where to start. Twice-weekly Zoom sessions with personalized coaching, progressions, and a 1:1 screening. Build confidence, strength, and muscle in a supportive environment.

  • Advanced Strength / HIIT – For those with lifting experience who want to rebuild routine and push further. Two 30-minute classes per week to build strength, muscle, and resilience.

  • Functional Strength- 6am total body 30 minute workout, offered twice a week, for those who need efficiency, variety, & a consistent strength routine.

Every class includes modifications for all levels. Assessments are available so I can meet you exactly where you are.

This journey has been 30 years in the making. From college history major to health coach, from titanium hips to functional strength trainer, one lesson has stayed constant:

When you learn to control your movement patterns, you unlock strength—for today, and for the decades ahead.

I’d love to help you along your wellness journey. Please reach out to schedule your assessment.
