Prep. Build. Stack.

These three words—prep, build, stack—guide everything I do in my holistic health practice.

They apply to how I approach whole food meals, healthy snacks, nutrient-rich smoothies, and farm-fresh vegetables and fruits.

They also apply to how I approach strength training—because whether it’s food or fitness, the process is the same.

We prep our beautiful bodies for movement with dynamic flexibility and warm-ups.
We build on our conditioning through reps and sets, drop sets, and heavier resistance.
And we stack our habits week after week through accountability and consistency.

For five years now, JRAPPFIT has been training clients live, on screen—five days a week, 300 days a year, more than 1,800 classes.
That’s a lot of sweat, laughter, consistency, and connection. And through it all, these three words—prep, build, stack—have held everything together.

I am constantly in awe of my clients. They’ve learned that small steps lead to big change—building strength and confidence not just in the gym, but in the kitchen, in their routines, in their lives.

When Life Takes a Turn

A few weeks ago, I jumped on a flight to Tennessee because my father had emergency heart surgery (It sucks to be so far from family, just sayin’).

My sister needed me, my parents needed me, and so off I went. I could’ve taken a break from work.

But I didn’t take a break from training.
I trained harder, because I needed the distraction.
I kept my live classes going because I needed to see people—to motivate them, and in doing so, motivate myself.

At home, I supported my parents the way I know best—by prepping.
I cleaned out their pantry and fridge, set up a safe and functional kitchen space, and made nourishing meals that came naturally to me but felt unfamiliar to them.

I built meals of nourishment and comfort. I stacked small daily habits—little things they could handle and repeat.

And slowly, it started to click.

By day 10, my dad was standing at the stove, making his own steel-cut oats with nuts, seeds, and a drizzle of maple syrup. He was proud. I was proud. And I knew something had shifted.

The Step Back

After that, I did something that’s always been hard for me:
I stepped away again.

I left for a weekend to my sister’s beautiful farm and rested, restored, and enjoyed some time with her and her family.  I was curious to see what would happen when I returned to them.

And you know what? They did it.

They had leftovers, yes, but they also had confidence.
My mom asked my dad for help in small new ways.
My dad, recovering and healing, wanted to keep going—to keep eating well, to keep moving forward.

Action breeds confidence and courage.

-Dale Carnegie

When I came back, I saw it so clearly:
When you step back, you can finally see the growth.
The small changes that, when stacked, become something beautiful and strong.

I wish I had learned this lesson earlier in life.

I’ve always been a “jump in with all of me” kind of person—heart first, all in.
It’s taken me years to learn how to slow down, to listen to my bones, my heart, my head.

I can teach others how to do this—I can encourage, motivate, and love on people so well.
But when it comes to myself… that’s where I’m still learning.

How do I prep, build, and stack habits that bring me more quiet?
More peace?
More boundaries?
A little more space to breathe?

That’s my next practice.

And like all things worth building—it starts small, and it starts now.

And to my community…

Thank you for your support, kind words, well wishes, and for continuing to show up, move your beautiful body, do your 1 Minute Move, prep your Queen Bee meal.

If you’re learning to prep, build, and stack your own life—whether it’s your meals, your movement, your mindset, or your peace—I see you.

Start where you are.
Prep one small thing that makes your day feel easier.
Build one habit that strengthens your body or your heart.
Stack it with another small act of care tomorrow.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence.
It’s about showing up for yourself, in the kitchen, in the gym, and in the quiet spaces of your life.

That’s where the strength grows.
That’s where we become whole.

Be well. Do well. Love well. ❤️
Just keep movin’.
